Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide technical leadership for electrical engineering projects, including design, analysis, code compliance, project coordination, and engineering oversight. This position requires a highly qualified professional with strong experience in power systems, electrical design, engineering documentation, and coordination with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Required Software Proficiency

Candidate should demonstrate proficiency with the following software platforms:

  • ETAP
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • Microsoft Office

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of lead electrical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Current Professional Engineer license in California or Texas, or the ability to obtain the required states PE license within three months of hire based on an existing PE license in another state.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical codes, power systems, electrical schematics, and design software including AutoCAD and Revit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical System Design and Integration: Lead the development of electrical power distribution, lighting, wiring, and related system designs using CAD, modeling, and simulation tools.
  • Project Leadership: Manage engineering scope, project budgets, schedules, technical deliverables, and contractor bid support while serving as the technical lead or engineer of record, as applicable.
  • Code Compliance and Technical Analysis: Review designs for safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable national, state, and local electrical codes. Perform or oversee load studies, arc-flash calculations, and related engineering analyses.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and other project documents.
  • Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, review technical work product, and support continuous improvement within the engineering department.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, internal project teams, and regulatory authorities to support successful project execution.
